Pastor

Pastor Field Thigpen grew up at Memorial and began preaching at 16 years old before leaving in 2002 to begin ministry as a youth minister. After 5 years in youth ministry and 4 years in his first pastorate, Field and his family returned to Bogalusa in 2011 to serve as Pastor. 

A graduate of Leavell College (BA) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv, ThM), he is currently a PhD senior resident at NOBTS in the field of Biblical Exposition. He is occasionally an Adjunct Instructor for Leavell College, teaching in the fields of biblical studies, preaching, and pastoral ministry. Bro. Field is also the Chaplain at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital.

Field and his wife Allisha have been married nearly 20 years. They have two teenagers, a daughter and a son, as well as a young daughter.
